Church Administrative Assistant

Willoughby Christian Reformed Church in Langley, BC invites applications for the position of Administrtive Assistant This position reports to the Lead Pastor and works interactively as part of the team of pastors, staff, ministry volunteers and parishioners to serve both the church and the community. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for organizing and managing a welcoming and efficient office environment that is the centre for information, communications, and ministry coordination for the congregation.  A flexible schedule can be arranged for this 25 hour per week position.   

The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 education.  Work experience with records management and electronic communication, demonstrated ability to perform duties using Windows-based software (MS Office), Google platforms, and web-based contact management systems combined with word processing, graphic editing and desktop publishing are required. Proven ability to multi-task, efficient time management skills, demonstrated service orientation, ability to work independently with constant interruptions, meet deadlines, communicate gracefully, maintain confidentiality, and make decisions are also required.

Compensation for this position will be between $22 and $25 per hour, depending on experience.
