October 25th Special Offering:

The Deacons are introducing a special offering for this Sunday for the Diaconal Ministries Canada! As they celebrate 25 years, they are looking ahead to help build the future.  Diaconal Ministries Canada have established the NewGround Endowment Fund (formerly known as Operation Manna). Their goal is to grow this fund to $1 million dollars over the next 10 years, creating a lasting source of support for community initiatives led by local churches. Thank you for investing in this shared ministry. Thank you for what you do in your own community. And thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you.

You are invited to give through the offering box on Sunday morning or by clicking here to give through Tithley (Diaconal Ministries Canada).

North of 60: Old school roots with a modern twist! We invite anyone 60+ to our next event on October 29th for a coffee social, games and devotion here at the church. Unfortunatley, the Buffalo Farm in Langley will need to be rescheduled for the Spring!! Hope to see you then, as always your neighbours or friends are more than welcome to join!

Blood Donor Clinic: For the month of October we will be hosting a Blood Donor Clinic on Friday, October 30th at 12pm. If you are able, please join in saving lives together by donating blood. Appointments are necessary and can be booked at blood.ca.

Men of Praise | An Evening of Hymns and Praise Songs: Men and boys of every age are invited to join us on Sunday, Nov 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM for a special evening of worship at Langley Immanuel Christian Reformed Church. Come together for an evening of joyful praise as we sing a wonderful variety of hymns and praise songs celebrating God’s goodness, faithfulness, mercy, and greatness. Fathers and sons, grandfathers and grandsons, brothers and friends are all encouraged to gather for this meaningful time of worship and fellowship. We warmly welcome men and boys from neighbouring churches and the broader community to join us for the evening.

“In every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands.”
1 Timothy 2:8

Come and join us as we lift our voices together for the glory of God's name.

New Members - Lunch & Orientation: We’re hosting a New Members Lunch and orientation after the service on November 8.  We’d love to invite you all to come if you’re able!  We’re going to be gathering together with those who are new to the community and answering any questions you might have about our church.

Whether you’re interested in being a member, curious to know more about the church, or simply interested in a free lunch, we’d love to have you there!

Please fill out the form using this link or let Pastor Jenna know if you would like to attend so that we can order the appropriate amount of food.

Teach-it Tuesdays are back!  Join us on November 10 as we welcome back Ashely Peter to speak to us about being a Christian in the midst of other religious groups.
As we've all noticed, our community is changing -- be it the beliefs, the food, the religious affiliations, the practices, or the people.  We are living in a multicultural mix of immigrants.  And so as followers of Jesus, what do we know of the neighbours living in our community, and how do we discern their worldviews, hopes, fears and dreams before witnessing the Gospel with love?
Come, explore, voice, and discover ways to share Jesus in our changing community.

Christmas Decorators: Hey Everyone, We are looking for 5-7 people to help with decorating the church for the advent season (the more the merrier)!!! If you love Christmas and want to help the staff out this advent season, we'd love to have you help decorate the sanctuary and foyer anytime the week of November 23rd. Please email, or talk to Tamara (tamara@willoughbychurch.com) or Jenna (jenna@willoughbychurch.com) if you are interested so we can co-ordinate a day and time for the whole group!!! Thanks, The Staff at Willoughby

Thrive Faith Formation Tip - The Building Blocks of Faith are four statements that, when they become increasingly true for a person, indicate that his or her faith is growing: I belong to Jesus and to his body, the church. I know and understand the story of God’s faithfulness, of which I am a part. I have hope, through Christ, in all of God’s promises. I am called to work in God’s kingdom, and I am equipped to do that work. What opportunities do the people in your household have to grow in each of these ways?
