Offering for weeks 1 & 2 of November:

One of the Special Offering for this month is World Renew - World Hunger, 2.4 billion people around the world aren't sure whether they'll be able to feed their families today. But we can be part of God's great work of justice and mercy. Your gifts support families around the world who are planting hope and ending hunger!

World Renew's World Hunger campaign is all about possibilities: the crops that conservation agriculture can yield, the funds that savings groups can help provide for an emergency, and the fruit that innovative techniques like aquaponics can grow.

With your gift, you not only provide families with nourishment—but also with the opportunity to educate their children, start new businesses, and save for the future. With enough food, families can thrive.

For more information about World Renew, contact our church’s World Renew ambassador, Liz Tolkamp at liztolkamp@gmail.com.

New Members - Lunch & Orientation: We’re hosting a New Members Lunch and orientation after the service on November 8.  We’d love to invite you all to come if you’re able!  We’re going to be gathering together with those who are new to the community and answering any questions you might have about our church.

Whether you’re interested in being a member, curious to know more about the church, or simply interested in a free lunch, we’d love to have you there!

Please fill out the form using this link or let Pastor Jenna know if you would like to attend so that we can order the appropriate amount of food.

Teach-it Tuesdays are back!  Join us on November 10 as we welcome back Ashely Peter to speak to us about being a Christian in the midst of other religious groups.
As we've all noticed, our community is changing -- be it the beliefs, the food, the religious affiliations, the practices, or the people.  We are living in a multicultural mix of immigrants.  And so as followers of Jesus, what do we know of the neighbours living in our community, and how do we discern their worldviews, hopes, fears and dreams before witnessing the Gospel with love?
Come, explore, voice, and discover ways to share Jesus in our changing community.

Thrive Faith Formation Tip - “Wondering questions” are an excellent way to engage kids (and people of all ages!) with Scripture. For example, after you read the creation story, ask open-ended questions like “I wonder what it looked like when God created the stars?” “I wonder what it would be like if there were no predators in our world?” “I wonder what you would feel like if you were the first person in God’s creation?” Take some time to read a favorite Bible passage this week, asking wondering questions to explore the text in a new way. Groundwork: Prayer and Repentance - Most of us feel uncomfortable admitting our shame and our guilt when we make mistakes, but for Christians, it’s an important and valuable part of our faith life. Join our Groundwork conversation as we dig into Luke 11:4, John 1:8-10, Psalm 51, Mark 2:1-7, Daniel 9:4-19, and 1 John 5:13-15 to learn about prayers of repentance and why honest prayers of confession matter. Listen now at GroundworkOnline.com and subscribe to Groundwork's weekly emails for future episodes.
