This past February, a group of Willoughby Church men along with 7 men from Smithers, BC, participated in mission work in Guatemala building homes and installing Solar lighting for very impoverished people in this third world country.  Through the generous donations from Willoughby Church and various other donors they were able to build 5 homes and install Solar lighting in a total of 12 houses.  Most of the homes were given to single moms who had either been abandoned or widowed with children. Being able to share God's love through the work of hands and feet was a powerful experience. For Chuck, one of the participants, the greatest impact of this trip was witnessing an 80 year old grandfather come to know the Lord. “I was reminded how it is never too late and you never know when you will have the opportunity to share [the good news].”  They hope, the Lord willing, to organize a similar trip in 2016.  Pray for the work that has been done and consider how God might call you to participate in this mission work in the future.  Sponsored through Hope Haven Canada and Bethel Ministries International.
