Offering for weeks 3 & 4 of July:

The SA Foundation is a Christian organization dedicated to offering refuge, long-term recovery programs, skills development, and job opportunities to women escaping human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Rooted in the principles of servanthood, personal recovery, and community, our ultimate vision is clear: a world where no one is enslaved by or trapped in the sex trade.

We achieve this by providing a safe, comprehensive way out for young women and their children. By establishing highly effective recovery programs in partnership with local charitable groups, we turn survival into sustainable freedom. Embracing the philosophy of "thinking globally, acting locally," all SA Foundation programs—both in Canada and internationally—are sparked at the grassroots level and fueled by community devotion.

Currently, the SA Global Network encompasses projects in Vancouver, Nepal, Greece, Italy (Bologna and Varese), Budapest, the Philippines, and Thailand. This past April, the network supported over 140 women and 29 children—an achievement made possible entirely by the community uniting to invest in their recovery and future.

WCRC Family Fun Day - Come join us for a Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 8th from 10am to 2pm. The youth will be here doing a car wash to raise money for their Re:Activate trip to Salmon Arm in September! We'll have outdoor games on the front lawn and a BBQ for lunch. Hope to see you all there!!!

Don't forget to tell your family, friends and neighbours about the car wash!!

Join Our Team: Starting in September, we're going to be introducing a new group of volunteers that will include our current structure of ushers and greeters.  Our 'Weclome Team' will be a crew of 5-6 people each Sunday that are tasked with welcoming people into the building, answering any questions they might have, and showing them where they can find a bulletin and sit down.

If you have a welcoming presence and are looking for a way to get involved, please let Pastor Jenna or Tamara know!  The commitment is to serve once every 6 weeks, and it only requries about 30 minutes of your time on a Sunday morning.

This will be a great gift to our community, so please consider joining!

Garden Sharing Table: Are your vegetable or flower gardens, fruit trees or bushes producing more than you can use? Why not share the abundance? Bring your extras to our Sunday morning Garden Sharing Table, located in the church’s front lobby. Let’s share the bounty of our gardens and enjoy the gifts of the season together. Everyone is welcome to take home items from the table to enjoy! The table will be available every Sunday throughout the summer.

Blood Donor Clinic: For the month of July we will be hosting two Blood Donor Clinics on Friday, July 17th at 12pm and Saturday, July 18th at 10am. If you are able, please join in saving lives together by donating blood. Appointments are necessary and can be booked at blood.ca.
