GEMS: The GEMS club is looking for some more volunteers to run small groups so they can run the program this September. GEMS is a program for girls grades 3-7 that encourages faith formation. They meet every other Wednesday evening. If you are interested in volunteering or just have any questions about the program please email Brooklyn at willoughbygems@gmail.com.

Needed: Employment:  A young Ukrainian family of 3 has visited the church and expressed a need for work.  They have recently moved to Canada and are in need of some assistance.  Please contact Tamara if you know of any job opportunities!

Re:Activate Prayer Room Volunteers Re:Activate is happening again the weekend of September 9-11, 2022 at Willoughby CRC in Langley, BC. This year, we want to be intentional about filling the prayer room with pray-ers with a heart for our kids to encounter the presence of our loving God. If you are available for part or all of that weekend and would like to volunteer for a shift in the prayer room, please contact Pastor Erik pastorerik@cornerstonecrc.ca 

New Worship Songs:  We will be adding some new songs to the church repertoire for Worship on Sunday mornings.  Take a listen to the songs below, so we can all become familiar prior to us singing them on a Sunday morning!  Hope you all enjoy the new songs!

Garden Sharing Table: Many of us have gardens that produce more than we can eat ourselves!  If you have extras, you are invited to take it to the sharing table in the front hall at church on Sundays, we will continue the table throughout the rest of the summer!!  Feel free to leave some or take some, regardless of whether you brought anything yourself. (Anyone with spare plastic bags is welcome to bring those as well).  Any leftovers will be brought to a local food bank.  If anyone would like to volunteer to be that person to take extras to the food bank, please let Tamara know!

GLORIA DEI CHORALE, a Christian Community Mixed Voice Choir, is excited to start singing again on September 12, 2022. ICS Fall 2022 Courses - Check out the Institute for Christian Studies' Fall 2022 course offerings: Biblical Foundations: Narrative, Wisdom, and the Art of Interpretation offered online on Tuesday evenings; Grace as an Aesthetic Concept offered online on Wednesday afternoons; Imagining the World with Ricoeur offered online on Thursday mornings; and The Craft of Reflective Practice offered online asynchronously with periodic synchronous Zoom meetings. Tuition is $400 for first-time auditors, $600 for returning auditors, and $1500 to take the course for credit. Classes start on September 12; the last day to register is September 16.
