Christmas in Summer – Cycling for Seafarers: Ministry to Seafarers Vancouver have been giving out care packages on board ships to encourage the crew with some treats and snacks, along with encouraging literature and Scriptures, for the pandemic has made things more stressful and difficult on board. Instead of Christmas at Sea, it's now "Covid at Sea" or "Christmas in Summer." The crews have been very appreciative. But, it has come at a cost. The Ministry is making a special appeal at this time for giving to the Ministry to help support the "Christmas in Summer" care packages. The chaplains will be making a cycling tour on August 29 to help raise funds for this cause. They're planning to cycle around the Burrard Inlet and visit several of the terminals on our bikes. You can donate online through Photos of the ride will be posted through Instagram (Ministry to Seafarers Vancouver) and on our Facebook page (same name).
