The GEMS retreat weekend held this year at Timberline Ranch on May 10-12th brought together 18 girls and 5 counsellors from Willoughby Church and 21 girls and 10 counsellors from the Fleetwood Church for a time of fellowship, worship and fun activities. Horseback riding, crafting, archery, games, swimming and free time occupied the girls for most of the weekend. The younger girls could often be found hanging out at the petting zoo. The food was excellent and the rain stayed away until after our Saturday evening campfire sing-a-long. Sunday morning worship, led by Brielle and friend Katie, challenged the girls to daily grow in Christ as described in Philippians 4:8. We are thankful for new friendships made and old ones renewed. God is good!
