We continue our series on the Shema, the ancient call to worship found in Deuteronomy 6:4 and repeated by Jesus in Mark 12:29: “Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”
We will be looking at some spiritual practices that Jesus models in the Gospels. These practices, like windows of our soul, reveal our desire and intent “to love the Lord our God...and our neighbour…” transparently looking for more of God. The messages on various disciplines help us to examine ourselves (mirrors) in light of Jesus’ invitation to the abundant life found in Him.
