Offering for weeks 1 & 2 of June:

This month our Special Offering is for The King’s University, located in Edmonton, Alberta. The university offers bachelor’s degrees in the humanities, sciences, business, and education. Being founded in the Christian faith, King’s aims to reflect Christ’s love and grace to all members of their community, leaving students prepared for a future of bringing renewal and reconciliation in every walk of life.

Willoughby Church Games Night & BBQ Event: The Pastoral Elder Team would like to welcome you all to a Games night and BBQ on Saturday, June 13th starting at 4pm. Come out and enjoy some fun outdoor games or bring your favourite board/card game to share with others! BBQ dinner will be at 5:30pm. Hope to see you all here for a fun night of food and games with our community!!! Sign up is avilable in the foyer after the church service or you can click here! Youth Wrap Up: Saturday, June 20th at 5pm! We will be holding a bbq/water-fight. So come at 5 and bring any water guns you own! Be sure to bring clothes to get wet in and towels for the way home. We will also have some other lawn games to play so don’t worry we will have a variety of fun things to do. See you on the 20th!! Brooklyn & Josh

Blood Donor Clinic: For the month of June we will be hosting two Blood Donor Clinics on Thursday, June 18th at 1pm and Friday, June 26th at 1pm. If you are able, please join in saving lives together by donating blood. Appointments are necessary and can be booked at blood.ca.

Garden Sharing Table: Are your vegetable or flower gardens, fruit trees or bushes producing more than you can use? Why not share the abundance? Bring your extras to our Sunday morning Garden Sharing Table, located in the church’s front lobby. Let’s share the bounty of our gardens and enjoy the gifts of the season together. Everyone is welcome to take home items from the table to enjoy! The table will be available every Sunday throughout the summer. 

Langley Ukulele Association, Soul Stories: Songs of Heartache and Hope! On Friday, June 26th at 7:00 pm at the Fort Langley Community Hall. The Langley Ukulele Senior A Ensemble will present an hour and half of fabulous and popular tunes to keep you entertained. This concert will showcase the talent of the group to our local audiences, providing everyone a preview of what the ensemble will be presenting on road.  They have a busy touring season coming up, and this concert will demonstrate why they are popular far and wide. Tickets available here!

Young at Heart: Seniors Expo - Join us for fun activities at the Langley Curling Centre (20699 42 Ave., Langley) on Wednesday June 17 from 11:00am - 3:00pm. Admission is free! Explore your best life at the Seniors Expo, with many vendors, clubs to join, resource booths, guest speakers and lots of prizes to be won!!!

Help Communities Affected by the Ebola Outbreak - An Ebola outbreak is creating urgent health risks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighbouring countries.
