Offering for weeks 1 & 2 of November: The Special Offering for this month is World Renew - World Hunger: 2.4 billion people around the world aren't sure whether they'll be able to feed their families today. But we can be part of God's great work of justice and mercy. Your gifts support families around the world who are planting hope and ending hunger!

World Renew's World Hunger campaign is all about possibilities: the crops that conservation agriculture can yield, the funds that savings groups can help provide for an emergency, and the fruit that innovative techniques like aquaponics can grow.

With your gift, you not only provide families with nourishment—but also with the opportunity to educate their children, start new businesses, and save for the future. With enough food, families can thrive. For more information about World Renew, contact our church’s World Renew ambassador, Liz Tolkamp at liztolkamp@gmail.com .

The End of Youth Ministry?: Our world has changed dramatically in the past several years. The pandemic, the political climate, the explosion of AI, and the overall pace of life are just some of the factors that have altered our daily routines, including how and when we gather as a church community. While congregations have had to adapt their ministries to respond to these changing contexts, youth ministry is an area that has notably struggled. In addition to seeing a decline in the number of participating youth, many churches are finding that their historical methods no longer seem to be having a meaningful impact on students' lives.Using Andrew Root's book, The End of Youth Ministry? as a guide, Rick Zomer, Thrive Faith Formation Ministry Consultant, will engage us as together we consider why we might be struggling in our youth ministry efforts and explore what churches may need to do differently in response. In-person on Saturday, November 22, 9:00 - 11:00 am in the 1Life space at Fleetwood CRC.

Choir Concert: Come join us for a choral celebration of love, peace and hope through music that unites hearts across generations! The Gloria Dei Chorale, under the direction of Cathrie Yuen, is pleased to present “Agape” on Saturday, November 22 at 7:00 pm along with Special Ensemble Woodwind Quartet: Quintessence Music Collective.
