October Special Offering: This is the final Sunday to give to this worthy cause!!!! The local Langley Foodbank is the focus of our giving for the month of October. The Langley Food Bank is a not-for-profit organization and is funded entirely through the support of local churches, organizations, and individuals. With the rise of inflation rates and increased cost of food, the food bank is being utilized more and more by families in need.
You have a few options for giving: Food/grocery items; grocery bags with a list of food items to purchase for the Langley Food Bank are available in the church lobby. Return the filled grocery bags to any of our Sunday or Thanksgiving services. You can also drop them by the church office at your convenience. As well you are invited to donate through the offering plate on Sunday mornings or by clicking here to give through Tithley (Langley Food Bank). Please give generously to this great cause!

The End of Youth Ministry?: Our world has changed dramatically in the past several years. The pandemic, the political climate, the explosion of AI, and the overall pace of life are just some of the factors that have altered our daily routines, including how and when we gather as a church community. While congregations have had to adapt their ministries to respond to these changing contexts, youth ministry is an area that has notably struggled. In addition to seeing a decline in the number of participating youth, many churches are finding that their historical methods no longer seem to be having a meaningful impact on students' lives.Using Andrew Root's book, The End of Youth Ministry? as a guide, Rick Zomer, Thrive Faith Formation Ministry Consultant, will engage us as together we consider why we might be struggling in our youth ministry efforts and explore what churches may need to do differently in response. In-person on Saturday, November 22, 9:00 - 11:00 am in the 1Life space at Fleetwood CRC.
