Offering for weeks 3 & 4 of July:

The special offering for the third and fourth week of July is for Redeemer University. Redeemer University is a Christian undergraduate university offering programs leading to Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education degrees. Their Mission (Purpose): Preparing students to reflect the love of Jesus Christ in every career and calling. From its Hamilton, Ontario campus, Redeemer has prepared graduating classes — the next generation of Christian leaders — for more than 30 years. Redeemer students are being shaped by the Reformed Christian commitment to see faith woven through all aspects of learning and life.

* For the two Special Offerings this month, ReFrame Ministries will run for the first two weeks, with Redeemer University for weeks 3&4.  You are invited to give to either or both offerings as they will both be available on tithley for the whole month of July! *

Potluck Lunch: We will be getting together as a church and community for a potluck picnic lunch this summer, on Sunday, July 20th after the church service!! Bring your lawn chair and we can gather outside to enjoy God's creation and break bread together or meet new friends!! The theme for our potluck is  "Sandwiches & Salad". Young Families BBQ: Calling all young families of Willoughby Church!! Greg & Rose Scholtens are hosting a BBQ on Sunday, July 27th after the church service at their house in Brookswood! If your children have attended our Kid's Ministry in anyway, they'd love to have you for lunch! If you have any questions, or to RSVP, please email Rose at rose.scholtens@gmail.com.

Youth/Preteens Summer Outings:

  • Come on down to Routley Park in Langley on Tuesday, July 29th at 11am. We'll be getting together to enjoy a picnic lunch, play in the park and just have some fun this summer together!!!
  • Join us at the Aldergrove Community Centre, on Tuesday, August 5 at 1:30pm. We will be enjoying the outdoors waterpark experience at the pool!! 

WCRC Summer Camp: Willoughby Church will be hosting a camp this Summer from August 11-15! There will be exciting activities for kids ages 5-10. Come join us for a fun-filled summer camp experience where children play, learn and make lifelong friends! Blood Donor Clinics: 

  • For the month of July we will be hosting another Blood Donor Clinic, one on Tuesday, July 29th starting at 1pm. If you are able, please join in saving lives together by donating blood. Appointments are necessary and can be booked at blood.ca.

Guatemala Mission Trip: It’s that time of year again where we plan next year’s Guatemala adventure! Our goal is to return to Poptun & San Bernardino, the need is high and there is few teams that make it up there. Dates provided by Bethel Ministries Bethel Ministries International - missions - Welcome are April 16-23. Cost this year will be $3000-$3500 depending on flights of which we are expecting $1000 to go toward projects. If you are interested in joining the crew for next year, please email or talk to Al Vandenberg!!! Thanks!!!

Langley Food Bank: The food bank is looking for dry good donations this summer. Donations are always busy around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but there is still a need during the summer months, when the food bank sees a drop in giving at this time! They are looking for these specific items: Baby Formula, Cereal, Snacks and wipes; Diapers size 5 and 6; Canned Tuna, Peanut Butter, Jam, Canned Soup and Pasta Sauce; Pasta, Rice, Cereal, Baking Goods and Snacks; Canned Veggies, Canned Fruit and KD; Adult Depends and Boost. If you can give any of these items, please bring them to the church and drop them in our Food Bank Basket!!!

Garden Sharing Table 2025: If your vegetable or flower garden is producing more than you can use, why not share the abundance? Starting this Sunday, you're invited to bring your extras to our Garden Sharing Table, located in the church’s front lobby. Whether you have a handful of herbs or a bumper crop of rhubarb, all contributions are welcome. Let’s bless others with the bounty and enjoy the gifts of the season together. The table will be available every Sunday throughout the summer. Happy harvesting—and happy sharing!

Intercultural Congregations Network - Our church is exploring new ways to engage with the diverse communities around us! The CRC in Canada has launched the Intercultural Congregations Network to help churches welcome, integrate, and thrive in a multicultural world. This network offers coaching, resources, and connections to deepen our collective work in God's diverse kingdom. Paul’s Missionary Journeys in Greece (April 3 - 13. 2026): Travel by motor coach (6 days) and cruise ship (3 days) to sites connected with Paul’s second and third missionary journeys, as well as visit other major sites of biblical, archaeological, and cultural interest. Jeff Weima, professor at Calvin Theological Seminary and leading Pauline scholar, hosts this inspirational tour.
