Seniors, Scams, and What Deacons Need to Know - Join us for a webinar on Thursday, June 5 at 8pm EST (via Zoom) called "Seniors and Scammers." Scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated and this has affected the work of deacons. People are unwittingly pulled into their schemes where they earn trust over time, culminating with the scammers getting access to bank accounts, etc. Seniors are particularly vulnerable, and it's heartbreaking to hear stories from deacons of their work with someone who has lost their retirement savings, and the shame and embarrassment after they realize what happened. Deacons have a special role to play to support our seniors. Come and learn with us so you can better walk with the people in your church and community! This webinar is open to anyone! Visit diaconalministries.com/events for more information and to register your team today!

You're invited to join us for an exciting summer tradition: Regent's Evening Public Lecture (EPL) series. Hear from Summer Programs faculty as they discuss everything from groundbreaking research to insights gleaned from a lifetime of ministry. Thrive Faith Formation Tip - Pentecost Sunday - On Pentecost the church celebrates the coming of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is often described and pictured as wind, a dove, or a flame. During a mealtime with loved ones this week, share how these images help you think of the Holy Spirit. What other images help you think of the Holy Spirit? If you have children in your household, ask them how they would picture or draw the Holy Spirit. Brought to you by Thrive: crcna.org/Thrive
