For several years, the churches of Langley have had a strong and growing partnership.

Since 2009, the churches of Willoughby have  worshipped and celebrated together on the Sunday following Christmas.  The first gathering in 2009 packed out the banquet hall at the Langley Events Centre.  In 2010, we moved to the West and Centre Gymnasiums.  This year, the churches of Langley  are invited to unite and celebrate a fresh start to a new year in the Arena Bowl.

Why a joint worship gathering?

  • It builds on and expands the partnership between church leaders to include their respective church communities;
  • It creates point of connection between believers who live close to one another geographically but fellowship at different churches;
  • It puts a “face” on the broader Christian community in Langley;
  • It is a natural movement outward from individual Christmas gatherings (family/ local church) into the broader Christian family;
  • It openly breaks down the perception divisions in the Christian community (ie.  it is a witness to a watching world).

This year’s “Celebration of Unity” will be held Sunday, January 1st, 2012, 10:30am at the Langley Events Centre Arena Bowl.
