The CRC churches in the Langley/Cloverdale area are collaborating to offer three services during Holy Week in a desire to journey towards Easter together.
On Thursday, Apr. 9, there will be a Tenebrae Service here at Willoughby Church. The Tenebrae is traditionally a more somber service that outlines the passion of Jesus Christ, told by one or more of the gospel accounts, and which gradually grows dimmer as candles are extinguished.
On Friday, Apr. 10, there will be a Good Friday service held at Immanuel CRC, which is a combined effort between Immanuel and the Bridge CRC.
And on Saturday, Apr. 11, there is a service at Hope Community Church which features a String Quartet and is oriented around the seven last words of Christ.
May you be blessed in this Lenten season as we focus on Christ's sacrifice and shape our hearts and minds around his journey to the cross.
