All of Life Interview: On Thursday, November 13 at 7pm @ Hope Community Church, Surrey, BC, you are invited to a conversation about faith in the age of AI. Most scientists agree that ChatGPT is just the beginning of a massive societal shift where AI will reshape our schools, our workplaces, and our closest relationships. You're invited to be part of a conversation with Dr. Jason Burtt about how AI will shape society and how we can faithfully and creatively follow Christ in the midst of it. Doors open at 6:30pm for drinks, charcuterie, and jazz music. Interview begins at 7pm. As usual, our evening will include a time for Q and A from the floor. Biography: "Dr. Burtt is a graduate of Regent College, an ordained minister with the CBWC, and assistant professor of sociology at Trinity Western University. He completed his doctoral work at Baylor University and defended a dissertation on the eroding fabric of social trust. He teaches courses on religion, technology, family, and statistical methods, and has published several peer-reviewed journal articles. The advent of LLMs (Large Language Models such as ChatGPT) inspired him to explore new pedagogical methods to curtail academic dishonesty and to enhance critical thinking and social engagement in the classroom. His creative coursework transformations earned him the TWU Innovative Teaching Award in 2025. He resides with his wife and 3 daughters in Langley."
