Happy new year! We begin our new year on a very important note. Via Genesis chapters 1-3 we will examine our heritage: the reformational tradition. Through these opening chapters of the Bible we will discover what Abraham Kuyper meant when he said, ‘There is not one square inch in all of creation over which Christ does not declare, ‘mine.’ We will see that Christ’s Lordship launches His people into the world to engage industry, culture, the arts, sports, every aspect of life, in Christ’s name. Examining the reformational tradition will develop our concept of what it means to be a ‘sent’ people–our tradition is radically missional. Mike Goheen, missiologist from TWU and Regent College , will be joining us for this series (Mike will preach every other Sunday).

To accompany this sermon series, I highly recommend reading Living At the Crossroads (by Goheen & Bartholomew).  This book articulates a Christian world view and examines how it clashes with the western world view which saturates our lives. Contact info@willoughbychurch.com to find out how you can get a copy.
