Gethsemane

From the moment that Jesus stepped into the garden of Gethsemane, the weight of the world’s brokenness came on Him—the suffering, the trials, the disappointments, the injustice—yet He remained rooted in the goodness of the Father.  How?  How did He manage it?  This Lent we are going to be exploring ‘The Passion’ narrative in Matthew 26-27 with the hope of encountering Jesus in His suffering and seeing how deeply He depended on the hope that was yet to come.  And as we do this, our prayer is that His Spirit would give us the strength and courage to face our own trials and to further root ourselves in the promises of God.
