"In no time at all the cookies were gone!" said Pastor Liz who organizes the annual fall "Cookies for Kids" event which invites the SONLiFE children to trade cookies for coins. Here's how it works. On World Hunger Sunday, the children bring cookies to church. Large tables are set up in the hallway on which the children place their cookies and their Peter Fish. After the service the congregation trades their loonies and toonies for these cookies.  All proceeds go toward the World Renew's Peter Fish Hunger Campaign. "It's one way in which we help the children understand what it means to be compassionate for those who live with much less than us," commented Pastor Liz.  "The children look forward to it all year long and it's definitely a highlight for everyone!"
