On Saturday, November 5th, our GEMS girls and counselors attended the first ever Lower Mainland GEMS Theme Rally. New Life Christian Reformed Church in Abbotsford hosted approximately 255 girls and 50 counselors/helpers! Through this Olympic-style event (including Opening and Closing Ceremonies), the girls (God's "White" Team) learned about competing against the "Dark" team, and seeking to "go beyond the gold" by getting wisdom for life from God's word (Proverbs). We enjoyed great praise and worship, group discussions with Gems from six other churches and a delicious bag lunch!
