In a record 15 minutes, $1300 was raised to help fight world hunger through Willoughby Church's annual "Cookies for Kids" event.   Pastor Liz organizes this event which invites the children to bring cookies to trade for coins which then go toward the Peter Fish/World Renew hunger campaign.  "The cookies were gone in no time," commented Pastor Liz. "A sign that this event is quickly becoming a favourite among us. It's one way in which we help our children understand what it means to serve Jesus through giving to those who have much less than they have." Once the cookies had been traded the children helped the Deacons with the sorting and counting of the coins. All proceeds went towards the Peter Fish/World Renew annual world hunger campaign.
