While blessed in so many ways, over the past number of years, I (DeeDee B.) have felt that something was missing in my life.
Last June at Willoughby Church`s Missions Fair, I picked up information about the Summer Teaching Program with the English Language Institute/China (ELIC). It was like all the pieces fell into place!
I want to travel, but not by myself, and this way as a thank you to God for my many blessings, I can give back to a community by helping teach english language skills to students in Laos. But the plan for this outreach goes beyond teaching English. As a teacher, I will build relationships both inside and outside of the classroom. I’m so excited to share experiences and my faith journey as well as learn about my student’s life journeys.
